FIELD JOURNAL

Field Notes is a collection of projects, thoughts, and questions. My personal archive of curiosities. I am starting this journal as a way to document my projects and process as an interdisciplinary artist working in the fields of science, spirituality, and art.

“All scientists who work in the field keep a field journal. In it they record everything they find, observe, and collect.” - Eleanor Sterling

Random thought 5-23-2022 while transcribing ‘Coleopteran’

Since everything is connected…

What if humans are part of the decomposition cycle in breaking

down the earth so it can be

reinvented, reborn, regrown?

“Beetles are just doing their jobs….'“

what if we are too + it’s just ugly to us

but the majority (if not all) of us have no choice in the

matter?

What if beetles fight + blame one another?

What if this destruction is part of our design/

the earths plan?
